We saw this scripture come to life right in front of our eyes, this last Saturday November 24th, when a group of 120 disciples sold over 3,000 tickets and gathered over 800 friends for the First Single Women’s Conference, titled “Bella por Siempre” (Forever Beautiful), held at our central church building in Santo Domingo.
It was so powerful to see the strength of unity, faith, hard work and perseverance get transformed into a dream come true. Saturday night was a revival of faith for single disciples and a wake-up call for our friends attending, who were impacted by the Word powerfully preached by our Women’s Leaders, Luz Martínez and Single Women’s Leader, Osmilda Tejeda, and cut to the heart by the profound and vulnerable testimony of Sobeyda Jiménez, our Campus Ministry Leader.
Our friends were welcomed with delicious refreshments, surprised with beautiful gifts and overwhelmed by the love of the disciples, who were shining like the stars in the sky. The Corus made an amazing job, setting the atmosphere with songs and lyrics that seamed written specially for the message God intended to place in the hearts of all us who were there.
The harvest of this amazing event is being collecting already, since some of the friends came the next day to Sunday service and started studding the bible right after. And as this is not enough, one of the company that sponsored some of the refreshment will be sending next Friday 30th, all the women of several departments (65 five women in total) to the second part of the conference, the “Chariot of Fire” were they will be having a group Bible study.
We certainly are so grateful to our beloved Father, whom once more showed us his fidelity and mercy by fulfilling with this event, what He has promised in 1 Corinthians 2:9: “But as it is written, things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, and which entered not into the heart of man, whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him”
