Only Jesus can forgive my sins and give me eternal life. But he also put me into a community of disciples because he knows first-hand how much I need others to make it to heaven.
1. The Visionary: They help articulate God’s highest use, plan and purpose for your
life.
2. The Prophet: They tell you the truth and speak God’s Word to you, even when it
hurts.
3. The Mentor: They teach you how to make your life work well, and to be practically
effective and successful in what you do.
4. The Encourager: They always believe the best of you, and they refuse to allow
your failures and weaknesses to define your life.
5. The Counselor: They provide wise insight, godly counsel and practical advice in
the decisions and challenges you face – both large and small.
6. The Soul Mate: They are one in spirit with you and know you as you know yourself.
7. The Follower: They take into their life the best you have to offer and give it
away to others, multiplying your influence and securing your legacy after you are gone.
