Rebuild the City
I’m here, stumbling.
The wall is crumbling,
Burned to stubble,
Heaps of rubble.
Come on let’s go back,
Examine the wall,
See where it is at.
Gonna take power on high
To rebuild it.
Gonna built up,gonna build strong,
Gonna build all together as one.
Gonna take you,gonna take me,
Gonna take all we’ve got to believe.
Never give up, never give in
Never gonna let the enemy win
Strengthen my hands,
‘Till we rebuild the city
Rebuild the city!
I’ll do my part.
Here, now, let’s start.
Fight on! Don’t fear.
Take heart –God’s here!
Trumpet sounds –join us.
Yeah, we’re gonna be victorious
‘Cause we got power on high
To rebuild it.
And someday we will walk on streets of gold,
A city with foundations from of old,
A city where the sunshine never ends,
Someday we will be there but ‘til then…

Nehemiah verses…
Jerusalem lies in ruins
Its gates have been burned with fire
By night I went out…examining the walls of Jerusalem, which had been
broken down, and its gates, which had been destroyed by fire.
Come let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem
“Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble–burned as they are?”
“Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, join us there. Our God will fight for us!”
“Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome,
and fight for your brothers, your sons and your daughters, your wives
and your homes.”
“Now strengthen my hands.”
When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were
afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this
work had been done with the help of our God.
