Atlanta Teen Choir Gains National Recognition

“Voices
of the Spirit” is a group of very talented young people from the very
supportive Atlanta Metropolitan Christian Church in Atlanta, Georgia.
The purpose of this vocal group is to use their voices as a spiritual
act of worship and pray that the lyrical content in the songs they sing
will reach someone’s heart and bring them closer to God.

“Voices of the Spirit” is led by 24-year-old Tami Wilder from
London, England . She is the daughter of Keith Wilder, who became a
disciple in London and was lead singer of the well-known 1970s Disco
Band “HEATWAVE”. The love of music is deep in her blood and she is so
grateful to be able to lead such a group of young, energetic, loving,
and talented teens.

This
year they have performed for Martin Luther King Jr.’s family, competed
in “Pathmark Gospel Choir Competition” in New York in February 2009,
opened up for Christian singer Nicole Sponsberg, and also performed for
the DC Regional Christian Church in Washington DC.

“Voices of the Spirit” is part of the newly formed Atlanta Metropolitan
Church, a merger of two churches in Atlanta area. The Atlanta
Metropolitan Christian Church is committing to the Cooperation Churches
and supports Disciples Today as well as Hope Worldwide.

God has blessed them with so many wonderful opportunities to travel
and meet wonderful people. This year they look forward to all the
things that God may have in store for their group. You can learn more
