The HOPE worldwide team in Malaysia is happy to announce the launch of a second free clinic in Penang. This clinic will not only be free but will also be mobile. Last year the team raised funds through a local concert to make this new mobile clinic a reality. The mobile clinic will serve 5 different rural communities each month in the mainland area in Penang and also in Kedah. We also hope to treat individuals in the indigenous settlements.
The Malaysia TB program has been well received by several communities, including the Malay, Chinese and Indian communities.
In addition, our first free children’s clinic, staffed with volunteer medical professionals in Georgetown is still going strong and is celebrating its fifth anniversary.
