Asheville Church Planting Announced

After much prayer and petition of our God, we are excited to announce the planting of the Asheville Church, in Asheville North Carolina! In the Spring of 2011, we will send a team from the East Triangle Church to join the small group of brothers and sisters already living in the area, to strengthen and build upon the work that God has begun.

We set out on this new adventure with open hearts and minds, ready to be used by the Holy Spirit, ever mindful that “unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.”

We are happy to declare that our vision has gained support and guidance from local leadership, as well as all the Churches in North Carolina, including Triangle, Charlotte, Greensboro, Fayetteville, and Jacksonville. Chosen to lead the group are Alex and Micheal Allred, who are eager to return to the full time ministry after spending the last few years in the corporate world. Several young married couples will support the team, as well as a number college students, 2 of which have recently accepted soccer scholarships to UNC Asheville.

We ask for your prayers as we seek to honor God by continuing to plant and grow new churches in North Carolina. If you would consider joining the team, if you have friends or family in the area, or if you are able to provide financial support, please contact us at ashevillechurch@easttrianglechurch.org.
