The Jacksonville Church of Christ seeks a full-time couple to serve in the roles of Lead Evangelist/Minister and Women’s Ministry Leader.
Full-time ministry experience required. Responsibilities for each include but are not limited to preaching, teaching, planning services, training and ministering to leaders of small groups (bible talks and family groups), coordinating fellowship and interaction with other churches in Florida and around the brotherhood. Both applicants should have sufficient ministry experience to help select, train and minister to future ministry staff. It is expected that this couple will have a strong, vibrant marriage/family and will set an example for the church in personal righteousness, bible study, prayer, evangelism and service. It is expected that the applicants will be eager to work in a consensus leadership format with the elders.
The Jacksonville Church of Christ is a dynamic, culturally and racially diverse congregation of 260 disciples, with campus, teen, singles, children’s ministries, and an active Chapter of HOPE Worldwide. The JCOC is a member of the Florida Missions Council. Mission work is focused in Paraguay and has resulted in financial support and close personal relationships fostered by frequent travel exchanges of congregants and ministry staff between the Jacksonville church and the church in Asunción, Paraguay. The JCOC is committed to strong and growing bible knowledge among all members and to that end provides four quarters of bible classes per year, including in depth studies of books of the bible, practical training in discipleship and evangelism, and topical studies.
