The Kanawha Valley Church Mission Team would like to invite One Year Challenge candidates to join us as we plant the church in Charleston/Huntington, West Virginia and start the Campus Ministry at Marshall University! This is a great opportunity to use your “one year” to be a part of a mission team AND establish a Campus Ministry at the second largest college in the state of West Virginia!
We have a handful of students that will be attending Marshall in the fall and are praying for the OYC to provide a shot of “spiritual adrenaline” to get the Campus Ministry off to a fast and solid start! You will play a critical role in establishing the church in the Kanawha Valley are and launching the work of evangelizing the entire state of West Virginia! See the invitation video below.
To this end we are looking for people who have been trained in leadership in the Campus Ministry to provide a mature base for the first year of this Campus Ministry. Qualifications:
We are looking for University graduates who have:
· Been trained in spiritual leadership in the Campus Ministry.
· At least one year old as a disciple.
· Completed the attached application form.
· A commendation form from your Full Time campus leader/ Church leader.
· One page essay entitled “Why I want to do the One Year challenge at Marshall University?”
What the program offers:
· The thrill of being a part of a mission team to a state where we currently have no church.
· The satisfaction of helping to start a Campus Ministry that will play an intricate role in evangelizing the state of West Virginia!
