God is a great God who truly loves us; I have been praying for years that I find a woman that would be my best friend and be able to help me be a great leader, Someone I could spend my life with and make me feel whole. Sandra is that answered prayer it took many years with much heartache along the long way but I know now it was well worth it.
Both Sandra and I have been in the church for many years she became a disciple at 18 and I became a disciple at 20 we are both in our late 30s when we met. We have spent a long time praying that our relationship would be great and glorify God and are an example to people in and out of the fellowship.

We truly thank God for putting it on disciples’ today to create the website DT Heart&Soul. We truly don’t think we would have met if it wasn’t for the site since we were 1800 miles away from each other. The site is a great tool for men and woman who are ready and know who they are and what they want in a relationship to find one another.
I will say that dating long distance is hard once you love someone and can’t see them. You can’t be there when they are hurting, stressed or happy. You can only share that in conversation. The good thing is that with technology today it is very cheap and easier with webcams. The other bonus is you learn to communicate with words (you can’t see the facial and body expressions over the phone).
As Sandra had stated, we met on DT Heart & Soul July 2009. At first we were just computer chatting with each other as I can be a shy person. Our first phone conversation was on September 6th one day before her birthday, now I’m usually not a phone person (just give me the facts) but we hit it off right away I was the first to wish her a happy birthday in 2 time zones. From that point on, we started talking weekly every Sunday night because the 2 hour time difference (I don’t work Mondays).
In November, I had made a plan to fly to Denver to meet Sandra in person. So on February 27th 2010, I boarded a plane to be 9 days with Sandra not knowing what would happen. We met and it was strange for both of us, as neither of us had done anything like this before. We spent 9 days driving all over Colorado meeting her family, friends, the church in Denver and many disciples.
On March 6th I asked Sandra to be my girlfriend in a not so romantic way I was very shy. The next day I left her in Denver and flew home. A couple months after Sandra then flew out to Massachusetts to meet my friends, family, and church. Everyone loved her right away. As she was leaving that trip, it was the first time we exchanged I love you and from that point on we only grew closer together. Due to her schooling and my job we could not be together till August 13, 2010.
I again flew out to Denver so we could celebrate her graduation of her master’s program and her going away so she could move to Massachusetts to be near me. After a fun vacation in and around Massachusetts, she settled in and quickly made great friends with all my friends and my family. Then after 6 months of her being here I set up a plan. As it was our 1 year anniversary on March 6th I decided to ask her to be my bride. She said yes!
On that day I had her closest friends from Denver fly out to celebrate with her and planned a party to celebrate the event after I popped the question (this time I was over the top romantic). Now we are planning our wedding for August 27th 2011 a short time away.
