West Virginia Plans “Singles Swap Weekend”

One of the great “discoveries” of the Campus Ministry over the last few years was a Spring Break program called Campus Swap. College students take their Spring Break and go to a campus that is still in session and devote a week to evangelizing! This program has born much fruit in baptisms, spiritual growth in the participants and zeal infused in the visited ministry.

Our question was, “Why should the campus students have all of the fun?” Most singles events are times to get together and fellowship. These are great! But why not get together and have an eternal impact!

With this in mind, we want to invite all singles to a Singles Swap in Charleston, WV! It will be held Labor Day weekend (September 1-5, 2011) and will serve to jump start the Singles Ministry in our newly planted church!
Here is how it will work. If people can take Friday off of work, they can come in on Thursday night. We will have breakfast devotionals each morning and then spend the day in the harvest field! We will meet up for lunch and good news and then hit the fields again! We will have a devotional on Friday night and on Saturday we will have a big cook-out. Sunday will be a Singles led service followed by a cook-out. Then more evangelism!

After a few days of hard work in the harvest field, we will relax together Monday with a Whitewater Rafting trip in Wild & Wonderful West Virginia! It is going to be epic!

Don’t miss out on this opportunity! We are still working out the details. The cost for the trip will be minimal as you will have to cover travel, a few meals and the rafting trip (+/-$100). If you are interested, please fill out the form on the Singles Swap 2011 tab and we will get you more details as they unfold!

See you in Charleston on Labor Day Weekend!
