It’s
official! We are more than excited to announce this year’s
International Campus Leadership Conference (ICLC)! This year’s event
promises to be more exciting and inspiring than the previous two
editions.
Our theme for the 2011 ICLC is “Taking it Higher”. For the first time, we shall be housing all participants in one place! Our venue is the new,
state-of-the –art New Era Youth Camp (NEYOCA), located in the serene and
emerging Lekki Free Trade Zone at the outskirt of Lagos. NEYOCA is 1.5
mile’s walk from Atlantic Ocean’s Akodo Beach.
Participants will enjoy a rare vacation
away from the hustle and bustle of city life and pressure of school,
while learning tons and building lifelong friendships.The event takes
place from Thursday, August 25th – Sunday, 28th 2011.
The program will feature citizenship /
leadership capacity building, fun times and community service platforms
amongst others. This year’s participants are expected from 35
universities across the Nigeria, including a few from the neighboring
Benin Republic, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire and the United States of America.
The four-day event will feature notable
mentors and speakers in spiritual matters, youth, social, health and
human resource development who will be teaching the ethics and driving
force required to take it higher in key areas of our lives.
The students will also be giving back to
the society as we partner with the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Council
in a grand community service effort.
On the fun part, an elaborate and
creative dinner party will hold on Saturday 27th presided by Beach Party
and Burn fire on Friday night. Lots of sporting activities have been
planned, including camel and house back riding, early morning physical
exercises, aerobics, treasure hunt, fishing and more!
Limited slots have been reserved for some mature teens, students in Senior Secondary schools, NYSC members and “JAMBites”.
All these will cost a ridiculously
subsidized fee of N5,000 ($50) per participant! Note that this subsidy
is made possible by generous donations of kind-hearted individuals, the
Lagos Church Office and corporate sponsors.
Registration will close on Sunday, 31st of July 2011. Please pay early as capacity is limited.
