Podcast Ministry Grows with God’s Message

Jesus was a master communicator. He used stories, illustrations, physical props, breaking news and much more to inspire and convict his audience. His motive was to bring light where there was darkness, to replace confusion with truth, and to replace fear with love.

While not particularly technically minded, I have a passion for communicating the gospel, and therefore I am prepared to use any and every medium available to spread the word.

I have a feeling that if Jesus were walking among us today he would use, or ask his followers to use all means of communication possible because he wants all men to be saved (1 Tim 2:4). For all men (and women) to have a chance of salvation they need to hear the message (Rom 10:14-16).

While not particularly technically minded, I have a passion for communicating the gospel, and therefore I am prepared to use any and every medium available to spread the word. I came across audioboos recently and realised that they offer an excellent avenue for getting the Bible’s message out to a wide audience. The reason I like them? They are recorded straight onto my phone (easy to record anywhere, any-when), are uploaded to the audioboo site, but also automatically into iTunes and my facebook and twitter feed (as well as the web site of any church that wants to carry them), and are short! Each one is a maximum of 5 minutes long. Their brevity helps them to be easily digestible, but long enough to contain something of substance. Here is a link. Follow the right-side toolbar.

I hope that these podcasts are an encouragement to members of our churches worldwide, but I also have a desire that they go wider than that. Already I have had feedback from people who are not part of our congregations but have been helped by what I have posted. This has enabled me to put them in touch with local congregations. It seems to me we are barely scratching the surface so far. I would like to ask that as many people as possible subscribe to these podcasts and, especially, give them a review in iTunes and hashtag them on twitter. That way they can spread to all corners of this earth – and the gospel can be heard by all.
