For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His government and its peace will never end. He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David for all eternity. Isaiah 9:6-7
This scripture in Isaiah encourages us to think of a great promise that we received from our God: Jesus. Contemplating his life and death fills us with awe, joy, encouragement, peace and hope.
In our time, we live at a fast pace. This is intensified in December with work commitments, family, school, plus Christmas shopping. Then at the end of the day, it seems that this month full of stress, what is most lacking is peace and love. And so we lose sight of what is most important.
Dear brothers each of us is receiving the greatest gift we could ever have: a new life through Christ. It is thanks to him that this newsletter is full of good news to share. Because of what Jesus did one day, great things are still happening.
So at this time let us encourage each other to think of our beloved Master. May this Christmas be a time of celebration for the great gift that our Father has given us.
