The San Diego Church of Christ seeks to hire two fantastic ministry couples. One couple, perhaps bi-lingual, will work within areas near Escondido and San Marcos, California. The Latin population is prevalent. Another couple would have a focus right in the heart of San Diego itself.
The first role would be leading a sector of 110 awesome disciples in the cities of Escondido and San Marcos, situated in north San Diego County. Several universities lie within this area including Palomar College and Cal State San Marcos. This family-oriented sector has growing teen and campus ministries and, since the population of this part of San Diego County is approximately 45% Hispanic, having a heart for the Spanish-speaking ministry and/or being bilingual would be a huge plus. This is a beautiful area with rolling hills, mountains and beautiful beaches nearby.
We are also seeking another ministry couple who would love to serve families in our church’s largest region located in the heart of San Diego. The right couple would join a great team ministering to 600 disciples, including 200 families and exploding campus and teen ministries. Many of our college students grew up as “Kingdom kids” and work closely with the Teen and Family ministries. We are seeking a mature couple – empty nesters or with teen or college-aged kids — with a passion for the marriage and family ministry.
Both roles offer great training opportunities under highly experienced Evangelists, Women’s ministers and Elders. We are closely connected with churches and mission teams in Mexico, the Philippines and the Middle East, therefore a mission mindset and a heart for the poor are very important to the San Diego staff. With 50 years of history as a congregation and over 200,000 students in the county, our Family and Campus ministries take top priority in the San Diego church.
