Jeff Balsom Goes To Be with the Lord

It is with sadness that I write to you that at 7:30 a.m. this Sunday morning our dear brother and cherished friend Jeff breathed his last and finished the race. I find myself filled with so many thoughts and emotions at this time. I am deeply saddened at our loss but so happy for Jeff’s gain. He has achieved the goal that we all fight for every day. I know all of us will find ourselves considering how blessed we were to have been shepherded, guided and touched by such a faithful, loving and genuine disciple of Jesus.

Our heartfelt prayers will continue to go out for Roberta, Paul, Susan, and Alex…their spouses and all of Jeff’s family. At this time the family is gathering and mourning together. It has been requested that we refrain from visiting or calling at this time. In the coming days we will be able express our deep affection and love. More information will be coming soon.

Jeff has left us as an example of one who served with joy, resolve and faithfulness. He resolutely stood for Jesus through these trials over the last two years and, like Paul, poured himself out in such abundance that we could only stand in awe of God’s use of him as a leader and shepherd. He will be dearly missed.

As we worship today and as we commune together let us find comfort and resolve in the presence of our loving Father. We will all, one day, be united for eternity.

With Deep Love,
