David Ruiz is a senior high school student and was baptized into Christ on September 8th, 2013. David was a Kingdom Kid who grew up in the church, but after hitting an all-time low in his life he decided it was time to turn things around. From there he began to study the Bible, in early July. By the grace of God, I got the opportunity to join his studies. Being able to see him grow from the person he was only a couple of months ago into the man of God he is today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life.
David was always eager to learn more about God each day and he never hesitated to ask us questions. He fought vigorously through many obstacles that the devil tried to throw at him, but he persevered valiantly. It wasn’t easy for him to throw away his old life full of worldly temptation but he knew that it wasn’t the life he was meant to live. David is a natural born leader who wasn’t afraid to be the first of his seven siblings to become a disciple and set the example that hopefully one day they can all follow. He is a tremendous inspiration to everybody and a great addition to our campus ministry. I can’t wait to see how God is going to use him to change people’s lives.
