FEMA Recognizes HOPE ww for “Protecting Our Neighbors”

Dear HOPE worldwide Family,

FEMA has once again recognized HOPE worldwide for the program “Protecting Our Neighbors”! As the country faces natural disasters like the floods in Colorado and man-made tragedies like the shooting at the Washington Navy Yard, it is important for every citizen in our country to be prepared. Today FEMA has invited HOPE worldwide to be one of six national charities to participate in a preparedness round table to discuss best practices in Disaster Preparedness. The September 11th Day of Service provided several wonderful examples of how ICOC churches and chapters are helping our neighbors to be ready when disaster strikes!

Our programs in Cincinnati and in Central New Jersey were recently highlighted by the national media. Our programs in Boston, Houston, and Oklahoma City were signature sites for the entire Day of Service.
