December 1st, 2013 marked the very first “Greater China Running Sunday Service.” Thanks to the endeavors of the church’s staff, we had over 900 disciples from the churches of Macau, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Xiamen, Dalian and Singapore, a remarkably glorious congregation. It has been 14 years since the inception of the annual 10K Sunday in the NT region of HKCOC, which is going head-strong and has yet to reach the height of its success.

china race4The 10K Sunday service has long gone beyond being a mere tradition in the NT region. Physical fitness? Check. Spiritual wellness? Check. Getting marveled simply by running amidst the Lord’s creations? Check and check. It’s a Sunday service, yet also an annual event anticipated by all our brothers and sisters. Notably, the last 10K Sunday service has seen a major breakthrough, bringing together some 900 participants in total.

The running route at the Pak Shek O promenade is an unparalleled display of Hong Kong’s renowned waterfront. No running? No worries. One may take a walk along the waterfront promenade and enjoy a long prayer with your loved ones, an equally pleasant choice. Runners of the 5K or the 10K event occasionally pass you by, hinting God’s presence throughout the day.

May God be the glory!
