Editors note: For the last few months, the Ukraine has been entrenched in a tense political crisis between the government and pro-European protestors. The situation has grown worse in recent weeks. Shawn Wooten sent this urgent request for prayers for their country and the Kiev International Church of Christ.
Pray for the Ukraine!
Dear brothers and sisters, friends and family around the world.
Please pray for the Ukraine. Pray for peace. Pray that the conflict can be resolved peacefully.
Please pray for humility. Please pray for the Christians, to “have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). That through prayer we can “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” (2 Co 10:5).
Pray that our greatest focus at this hour is “loving one another, as Christ loves us” and seeking and saving the lost.
That every morning as true disciples, we would be consumed with being like Jesus. Whoever claims to live in him (Christ) must walk as Jesus did.
Please join the Kiev church as many of us are fasting and praying for God to intervene and unite the country. That His will be done. We ask that God would move us in the direction that will allow us to see the most souls saved!
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self- controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. — 1 Peter 4:7
