Tina Jenkins Crawley is a disciple in the Chicago church, and she has always had a dream. She wanted to sing and use her voice to move and inspire many. This dream began as a young woman, singing throughout high school in her musical program.
After failing a class on musical theory at Eastern Illinois University, Tina gave up hope of pursuing music as a career. But the God who gave Tina her gift of music had other plans. After becoming a disciple and devoting her life to God, she began to sing again.
Tina began in the back row of the church choir, and as her confidence in God grew she moved to singing in trios. Over time, God began to rebuild her dream to be a soloist. There were many who did not believe she had the voice to be a soloist, but Tina kept her dream alive by writing songs during her time with God each day, recording her experiences.
After a decade-long journey, marriage to a spiritual, supportive husband and the birth of two wonderful children, Tina released her first album aptly entitled, “The Longest Journey.” She recently returned to Chicago after touring Germany. Her powerful voice, humble spirit and soul-stirring music are inspiring many literally around the globe. Read more about Tina here or on her Facebook page.
