Karachi was the largest city in the world where we had not planted a church until a few weeks ago. On April 20, 2014 a mission team made up of disciples from our other congregations in Pakistan landed in Karachi.
A bustling city of 24 million people, Karachi is a business and education centre. Crime is rampant. Target killings are an everyday occurrence. Karachi is a very dangerous city to live in. People there need the gospel though.
The mission team left full of zeal and hit the ground running. Two Bible talks had been going on for the previous year, so the team was ready to reap the harvest!
On May 24 the first person was baptised. Since then, in the last 10 days, three more have been added to the church.
Please pray for these courageous disciples and the friends they are reaching out to. Many are studying the Bible, on their way to making their decision.
