Dear brethren, we are thankful to God for your kind gesture. Indeed, we have received nearly US $4,000 to help assist us as we are going through the Ebola virus epidemic. Your help will enable us to get some food items, sanitation materials and medications since most of the economic activities are locked and many disciples are encountering financial problems. A portion of this money will go to our three-day community outreach on Ebola Awareness to help in the community.
We are grateful to God that none of the disciples are infected by the Ebola virus. Yes, the fear is still there as the death rate is increasing and there are new cases discovered. But the disciples are strong and remain committed and our regular meetings are still taking place. This is our month of “Harvest” where we allocate the sermon time to studying the Bible with our visitors. We have a goal of 20 baptisms and restorations from now to the end of September. We have just adjusted our evening gatherings to 4p.m. instead of 5:30 p.m. because there is a curfew starting from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next day. We ended a series of classes on “Trusting in God.” This past Sunday, we had a workshop on the Ebola Preventive Methods as 50 volunteers of the church are gearing up to undertake the community outreach on Ebola awareness. It is the Ministry of Health that has conducted the workshop.
