Take a six to twelve month challenge in Bolivia and use your time, talents and training to impact the lives of many! Your healthcare skills and experience are desperately needed to provide vital services and leadership to the underserved in La Paz, Bolivia.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced healthcare professional to join our team as a volunteer patient care instructor. This is a unique opportunity for a healthcare professional to obtain excellent experience in leadership, teaching and creative problem solving in an international setting. You will help to define your own role and your experience as the lead instructor as we begin this innovative Patient Care Assistant Program here in La Paz. This program will provide educational opportunities for orphans exiting the institutional care system, as well as high school graduates in the community. This program is also designed to help with the nursing shortage severely affecting Bolivia as well as introducing a brand new level of patient care to this country. This is an ideal position for a healthcare professional fluent in Spanish and self-supporting (avg monthly expenses of $700-$1000). Time frame: January 2015 to July 2015 (or December 2015), 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. While volunteering with HOPE worldwide Bolivia, you will become deeply involved in the community, immersed in a new culture and a new way of life.
