The Auburn Tuskegee Christian Church is expanding to areas outside of our name. Our small church of 51 spans across the eastern border of Alabama into Georgia, and covers a three hour drive from side to side. We have expanded from Auburn and Tuskegee to Montgomery, Alabama, Enterprise, Alabama, and Columbus, Georgia.
The Montgomery house church has grown from three to 11 disciples, with half of them moving in over the past six months. This group is comprised of young and mature marrieds, professional singles, and one college student. As the capital of Alabama with over 200,000 people and many universities, the city of Montgomery is ready to hear the good news of Jesus Christ! Already, many people are visiting the newly formed Montgomery House Church and starting to study the Bible!
The Enterprise, Alabama, or Wiregrass region, house church that is comprised of four fired-up disciples kicked off their first Sunday house church service with five visitors. The Columbus, Georgia house church of five disciples has taken up the charge to evangelize the second biggest city in Georgia. Not to mention, the Tuskegee University Campus ministry has grown to eight disciples, and two are on the football team! This small campus ministry has a weekly Bible talk that brings 12-15 visitors a week with ongoing individual Bible studies.
The ATCC is a bright light in a area with a long history of racial diversity without racial harmony and equality. God is revealing his will through in this group of believers, demonstrating the unity only he can bring about through the love of Christ (John 13:34-35). The area’s ingrained culture is being transformed through these diverse, multi-generational, devoted, and evangelistic disciples who have a dream to make more disciples in their cities. There is still a lot of work to be done in this part of the United States but we know God is moving powerfully. We are looking for disciples with missionary hearts to help as workers in this vast harvest field; we ask for your prayers and your sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2). Come and help us change the world!
