Our Texas/Oklahoma family of churches is excited to announce that Richard and Sarah Alawaye will be planting a church on the Gulf Coast in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The first official service is slated for June 2015. Team members are already arriving in Corpus Christi, and more will be moving there in the coming months. Regular weekly house church services will begin soon.
Supported through the combined efforts and offerings of our Texas and Oklahoma congregations, the Alawayes will be spending the next three months preparing for the planting. Richard has been in the ministry for 26 years and he and Sarah have led churches in Nairobi, (Kenya), Johannesburg, Pretoria (South Africa), Lagos, (Nigeria) and Atlanta (USA).
Corpus Christi is a growing city on the Gulf of Mexico with beautiful beaches and a population of approximately 500,000. The median age of the population is 33 years. It is a great place to live and raise family. There are two college campuses, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and Del Mar College.
