“Question Yourself”
Have you truly been crucified with Christ, and you no longer live
Do you have anything against your brother, do you truly forgive
God loves the humble, He opposes the proud
Is your humility, reserved only for the crowd
Have you put your pride aside
Or does your pride, always get a free ride
Do you put your God above all else
Do you love your neighbour, as yourself
Do you think of others, do you really care
For those less fortunate, in need, in despair
When things go wrong, do you cry out, and blame God
Or do you hold your head up, make Him your shelter, your staff, your rod
Do you live by faith, do you live by sight
Whatever the cost, do you do what’s right
Is your faith an immoveable rock
Or do you fall, at the first stumbling block
Are there limits to your love
Is there a threshold, you won’t go above
Do you daily take up your cross
In your life, who is the boss
Do you find yourself tired, worried and spent
Are you just too busy to be content
God pulls no punches, he doesn’t go on hunches
He looks at the heart, where everything starts
After all these questions, have a meeting with yourself
Check on the status of your spiritual health
