2016 Hope for Kids Leadership Academy is now accepting applications!
Ministry training for high school and campus students – enjoy the opportunity to be trained by many ministry leaders while enjoying the beauty and joy of camp! In 2016 the HFKLA will again be based at Camp Hope for Kids in Schwenksville, PA.
There will be two tracks of participants. Track 1 will take place between June 1 – July 5, 2016 and Track 2 will be from July 12 – August 15, 2016. Each track will be five weeks in length. During the five weeks, each participant will receive training in evangelism, leading Bible discussions and Bible studies on local campuses, attend a Ministry Training Academy, be a mentor for at risk youth and be a Counselor and/or with Crew for one week of camp.
As a faith-based program, HFKLA is a spiritually focused program. There will be times of prayer, Bible-based devotionals and lessons and participants will attend worship services with members of the local Church of Christ. To participate in the program, accepted applicants are expected to fund raise $1500 by May 31, 2016.
Applicant Qualifications:
All applicants must be at least 16 years old (by Aug 31, 2016), and must get a favorable recommendation from their current ministry leader and be committed to their local campus ministry, teen ministry and/or congregation to be accepted.
Application Deadline:
Applications will be accepted from November 1, 2015 through April 30, 2016 or until all spots are filled.
Fundraising Deadlines:
1. If you are chosen to participate in HFKLA, a non-refundable deposit of $300 is required within 30 days of your acceptance into the program.
2. The final fundraising balance of $1200 is due by May 31, 2016
The fundraising expectation of $1500 does NOT include airfare. This fee does include all meals, lodging, local transportation, activities etc during your time on HFKLA.
International applicants are encouraged to apply!
