The Stockholm Church recently experienced a great victory as they had their first “Bring your neighbor day” since the Reeds moved back there after 20 years. Here is Christopher and Kim Reed’s good news update…
The title for our service was “Does God believe in you?” Do we have a soul and if so, what is it’s purpose? God used the church of 110 to bring 89 friends! The disciples are so excited and many new studies have been set up. The Christians have been sharing and praying for this day for the last several weeks and we have seen a renewed conviction in the hearts of the Christians that God is always faithful and with us in the mission. MANY campus students came as well. We are praying to baptize 8 more souls into Christ before Christmas. Please pray for us.
Other fantastic news. This was the same weekend we had an elder from the Denver, Colorado church, Greg Bickel come to teach and encourage us. Greg was able to teach on marriage and family to all the Nordic church leaders who came from around Scandinavia (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden) for our quarterly training session. It was so exciting for them to be a part of this great day as it was such a testimony to them to see that God’s promise of a plentiful harvest everywhere is also true in Northern Europe.
We have continued on with the great work of the Teen Ministry as we meet every Friday night for food and a Devo and fun activities. The group is around 15 teens right now. Only two are baptized. They are a young group, so many are in the process of maturing and we can see many developing a great faith and eagerness to become Christians down the road.
Our Campus ministry consists of a handful of marrieds and
singles and Kim and Chris who walk around and just share about Jesus. We are seeing many come to the 3 bible talks we have formed around several campuses. Please pray for Souls to be baptized soon. The real work is starting after this great Day of Victory in Stockholm.
