God continues to bless the efforts of the London Church of Christ towards greater unity and rededication of heart. So far this year, He has added 22 souls to the church, about as many as in the whole of 2009, and more than in any other year since 2002.
In April, the church hosted its first Women’s Day in several years, which was a momentous event, featuring Terrie Fontenot as keynote speaker. In January London hosted the British Isles Leadership Conference, and the UK churches were joined by full-time ministers from the US states of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, as well as by Chris and Kim Reed who lead the church in Stockholm, Sweden and Dinesh and Caroline George, who lead the church in Bangalore, India.
The church in London has made concerted and faithful steps towards sharing money and staff between previously semi-autonomous sectors. This effort has in no small measure been due to the vision and sacrifice of Malcolm and Penny Cox, who for the last few years have striven to pull together the disciples in London. In order to create space for family needs, the Coxes recently asked the London Leadership Team for a well earned opportunity to reorganise their responsibilities.
After much prayer and seeking of advice, the London Leadership Team have asked Mohan and Helen Nanjundan to serve as congregational evangelist and women’s ministry leader. Please pray for God to continue to guide his saints in London, and to keep upon their hearts the completion of the mission for which Jesus died.
