February 20, 2011 marked 50 years since the San Diego Church of Christ incorporated as the Poway Church of Christ. What a great accomplishment!
From having a few disciples at a tiny little Church building at the corner of Twin Peaks and Midland Road in Poway, to having disciples literally all over the world, it is encouraging to see the ways God has used this amazing Church to win souls for him.
On Sunday, March 6th, the San Diego Church of Christ celebrated with a day in the park complete with a picnic and Bible Talk Olympics including relay races, field games and of course an amazing outdoor worship service
at Kit Carson Park Amphitheatre.
But that’s not all! If you have been impacted in any way by this great Church, we invite you to participate in an even bigger celebration on October 2, 2011 in San Diego.
There are several ways to participate as follows:
1) Send us a letter, or contact us via our website at www.sdcc.com and let us know the following:
a. You became a Christian at the SDCC (date, which ministry, where you
are now)
b. A story about how the SDCC or one of its members helped you in
your walk with God;
2) Send us pictures and share your good memory(ies) of “the old Poway days” or some other period in the SDCC history;
3) Let us know if you were part of a Mission Team that was sent out from San Diego;
4) Make a trip to San Diego on October 2nd and come worship and celebrate with us! Check for updates at www.sdcc.com.
